My family agrees that the size of the area does not make any difference because you will place the portable device where you need it. I was pleased that "Fedders V Chassis A6V10S2A 15"" " is suitable for most rooms from 150 to 250 square feet. My air conditioner is It has electronic touchpad controls, a timer and a remote control.. I purchased my unit in May of 2003 and used it wonderfully all summer of 2003 it worked beautifully throughout the summer.. The cool air is flowing to my room and my Slider Casement Air Conditioner works and cools my appartement even when it is very hot outside.

This Slider Casement Air Conditioner is very quet, which may be important for light sleepers. It is eEasy to move, once out of the box. It does have a condensation tank, which can be drained, like an extended power outage. All the usual features you'd expect are present, like remote control, oscillate, dehumidify only, fan only, plus "auto".
