I bought my Carrier 52CQ315 after some online reserach and I've been thrilled with that thru-wall window air conditioner since Day 1. I am sure that it delivers a lot of cold air, and I can point it towards my desk for greater efficiency. Carrier 52CQ315 is Great for use in small apartments, condos, offices, attics, bedrooms, dorm rooms, work areas, basements etc. I want to say that the size of the area does not make any difference because you will place the portable device where you need it. My Carrier 52CQ315 is This thru-wall window air conditioner is very quet, which may be important for light sleepers.. It is not This model is most effective for smaller rooms..

This Energy-Star rated model has high efficiency rating, which will save you about 10% on energy costs most air conditioners. During the very hot part of the day this thru-wall window air conditioner unit kept my room and master bath area a nice 68 degrees. Some minor drawbacks I found in connection with an otherwise convincing portable A/C. If you want to move your unit and leave the window vent in place, you can cover both of them.
