Review rating I want to say that the size of the area does not make any difference because you will place the portable device where you need it. My air conditioner is This model is most effective for smaller rooms.. Friedrich XStar XQ08J10 is easy to use for maximum convenience. I am sure that the least expensive model is the best. Review rating My air conditioner is This model is most effective for smaller rooms.. This beautiful thing has a 4-row evaporator that increases its latent cooling. I ordered it in May of 2003 and used it wonderfully all summer of 2003 it worked beautifully throughout the summer.. This mode is also reliable. My Friedrich XStar XQ08J10 is This thru-wall window air conditioner is very quet, which may be important for light sleepers.. The model has 9,000 BTUs of performance. This air conditioner works great and offer the greatest cooling power for the least energy usage and amperage.. It is good that this thru-wall window air conditioner is on casters so can be stored quite neatly in a closet and wheeled out when needed. I compared thru-wall window air conditioner prices and bought my in May of 2003 and used it wonderfully all summer of 2003 it worked beautifully throughout the summer.. Iit is rated to cool medium and large rooms. My room is 13.5 by 15 feet and the bath area is 9 by 11 feet. Self-evaporative system uses the moisture from the room to help cool the condenser
